Javier H. Lopez, Ph.D., MBA, is Executive Director at Mission Career College as well as adjunct faculty at Claremont Lincoln University teaching graduate courses in Public Administration and Social Impact. He also does freelance grant writing and public speaking for some nonprofits helping them with their funding needs. Previously, he served as Executive Director of Valley Restart Shelter in Hemet, where he led efforts to clean up and improve that campus through new roofing, upgraded facilities, and added a much-needed wrought iron fence. He also increased bed space through the addition of 12 tiny homes and 10 trailers he obtained from the county for permanent supportive housing. He is bringing that experience to assist Valley Community Pantry with its mission in serving those in need throughout the Hemet/SanJacinto Valley and surrounding communities.
He continues his commitment to service through Rotary, Knights of Columbus, and the Council on Aging. “I am very honored to be chosen to serve as a Board Member of the Valley Community Pantry. This organization has a great history of service throughout this community and beyond. I look forward to doing my best to serve those in need.”
